About Ms. Lotz
Megan Lotz is a music teacher and flutist new to the Monterey Area. She earned a bachelor’s degree in flute performance and a master’s degree in music education from Boston University. While attending BU, she studied with Linda Toote, and played flute and piccolo with the Boston University Symphony Orchestra, the Boston University Wind Ensemble, the Boston University All-City Orchestra, and the Boston University Marching Band. She student taught at Westwood High School, Westwood Middle School, and Sheehan Elementary School in Westwood. She previously taught chorus, band, orchestra, and general music at Horace Mann Elementary School in Newton, MA. She also taught private flute lessons through the Prodigy Program in Westwood, MA and the Music Lesson Extension Program in Newton, MA, as well as around the Greater Boston Area. She currently teaches band, orchestra, chorus, and music appreciation at Los Arboles Middle School of the Monterey Peninsula Unified School District, in Marina, CA.
